Dorothy Hull

November 5, 1931 — August 13, 2020

Dorothy Joyce Hull, 88, was born November 5, 1931 in Silo, Ok to Andrew & Delia Roland.  She married J.T. Hull on June 12, 1948 in Durant, OK and worked as a Clothing Department Manager at Gibson’s Discount Store for many years.  She loved animals with a special appreciation for pigs and enjoyed scratch offs and going to Casinos. More than anything, she loved her family and grandchildren, often making them her famous apricot fried pies.

In the early morning of August 13, 2020, Dorothy Joyce Hull was called from this earth.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy Leach of Topeka, KS, Patsy Foster of Slaton, Betty Hull, Judy Garcia both of Lubbock; one brother, Teddy Roland of Sherman; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband J.T. Hull; two  grandchildren, Wayland Leach, Cassie Hull; two brothers, Jackie & James Roland; one sister, Evelyn Miller.

Family will accept friends and family from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Broadway Funeral Directors.  Services for Mrs. Hull will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 17, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Chaplain Robert Roecker officiating.  Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
