Celia Vidaurre

December 6, 1924 — May 29, 2021

Celia J. Vidaurre, 96, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Lubbock.  Services for Mrs. Vidaurre will be 10:00a.m. Monday, May 31, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Martinez officiating.  Burial will follow in Englwood Cemetery in Slaton under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm, Sunday, May 30, 2020 at Broadway Funeral Directors. There will be a visitation on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 10:00am to 9:00pm.

Celia was born December 6, 1924 in Cameron, Texas to the late Hilario and Simona Jimenez.  She married Pablo Vidaurre in 1938 in Snyder, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1975. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord through the work she so enjoyed as a cotton field labor transporter, secretary for Secretary LULAC and Gilbert Herrera, Midwife for Dr. Hill, worker at Slaton Nursing Home, worker at Texas Instruments, and a secretary for F. B. Godinez. Most of all she enjoyed being a loving mother, grandmother and having time to spend with her family. Celia was also a faithful Catholic and showed her love of Christ through every action and breathe she took. Her affectionate love and care she had for her family will always be cherished.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Eva Rosales, two sons, Nazario Vidaurre and Gilbert Vidaurre.

She is survived by a daughter, Olivia Rosales of Lubbock, two brothers, Antonio Jimenez of Lubbock and Alberto Jimenez of Acuff; four sisters, Guadalupe Ramirez of Amarillo, Maria Yanez of Slaton, Raquel Fuentes of Amarillo, and Simona Santana of Lubbock; eleven grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; sixty great great grandchildren; and thirteen great great great grandchildren.
