Betty Joy Brock, 97, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Mrs. Brock will be 10:00 am Monday, November 18, 2019 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Ealy Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  Family will accept friends for a visitation 6:00 pm Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the funeral home.

Betty was born November 8, 1922 in Lubbock to Ealy & Mattie Eoff.  She married Jessie James Brock on April 6, 1940 in Clovis, NM and worked as the Head gift wrapper for Lena Stephens Department Store for many years before retiring. As a member of Southside Church of Christ; Betty volunteered as a Bible study teacher (2nd Grade Class) and was faithful until she was unable to attend due to illness. She enjoyed making quilts, listening to music and loved roses; but above all, she loved the company of her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ealy Harris Brock & wife Gay of Shallowater; a daughter, Beth Dickenson of Lubbock; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
