Ysabel Ramos

Mrs. Ysabel Ramos went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  She was born November 14, 1931 in Presidio, Texas to Jesus & Francisca Garcia.  She married Epifanio Ramos on July 24, 1948 in Barstow, Texas.  Epifanio and Ysabel moved to Lubbock in 1964 and settled in Abernathy for many years where Ysabel had many friends.  Mrs. Ramos was a catholic, a great mother, grandmother and was an outstanding seamstress for almost all her life.  She enjoyed crossword games & building picture puzzles.  Most of all, she enjoyed going to Bingo with her closest friends. She had a great love for her brothers, sisters, & all her family.  She also had many relatives in Pecos & Barstow and loved them all dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Epifanio Ramos, a son, Israel Ramos and a daughter, Velma Rivera.

Survivors include her sons, Epifanio Ramos Jr. Hereford, Arnulfo Ramos of Abernathy, Raymundo Ramos of Lubbock, Gilbert Ramos of Lubbock; one brother, Robert Garcia of Lubbock.  Mrs. Ramos also had twenty-one grandchildren and a legacy of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ramos will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 19, 2020 in The Abernathy Cemetery with Father Brian Wood officiating.  Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2020 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 12:00 pm.
