Virginia Gonzales

Virginia A. Gonzales, 80, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 in Lubbock. Services for Ms. Gonzales will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with viewing beginning at 9:00 am at the funeral home.

Virginia was born November 9, 1939 in Meadow to the late Tiburcio & Juanita Aguirre.  She retired from Covenant Hospital where she worked in house keeping. She enjoyed her porch swing, watching novelas, eating ice cream, riding around Lubbock and was one to never complain.  She was a loving provider to her granddaughter, Anna Alicia Moreno, and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Above all, she loved all her family and her memory will never be forgotten.

She is survived by three sons, Hijinio Jose Gonzales of Lubbock, Roberto Gonzales of Lansing, MI, Manuel Gonzales Jr. of Lubbock; two daughters, Yolanda Moreno of Wolfforth, Leticia Sanchez of Lubbock; three brothers, Epifanio Aguirre, Willie Aguirre, Juan Aguirre; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Roy Gonzales (1976)
