Sulema Flores

Sulema Flores passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 57. She was born on August 29, 1969, in Petersburg, Texas to the late Alberto Sr. and Anita Flores. Sulema lived with a strong-willed spirit that shaped the way she moved through life and cared for those around her. She was a proud graduate of Tahoka High School, class of 1990, and went on to serve others as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Her work reflected a caring heart and a steady commitment to helping people in meaningful ways.

Sulema found joy in the things she loved most. She enjoyed watching football and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, cheering faithfully for her team. She also loved baking, sharing that warmth in a way that brought comfort and happiness to others. Among her greatest joys were her nieces and nephews. She loved attending their events, cheering them on with pride, and being present for the moments that mattered in their lives.

She will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the enthusiasm she brought to the people and pastimes she loved. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alberto Sr. and Anita Flores; a sister Belinda Davila; a great nephew Erik Jones and a sister-in-law Diane Flores.

She is survived by her brother Albert Flores Jr. of Lubbock; a sister Estella Florez of Tahoka; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation for Ms. Sulema Flores will begin 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Tahoka with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. Funeral Mass will begin 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. Jude Catholic Church-Tahoka with Father Ernesto Lopez officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home/Broadway Funeral Directors.
