Rosa B. Perez, 76 of Shallowater passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence. Services for Mrs. Perez will be 1:00p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at New Hope Community Church with Pastor Monica Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
Rosa was born September 4, 1938 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Elvira Aguilar. She married Juan R. Perez on October 23, 1955 in Hillsboro, TX. She was a strong Christian woman of great faith always reminding her children to pray. She was a good financial advisor for her husband while also a great homemaker and host to all who entered her home. She had a passion for gardening and camping. She loved her grand children and great grandchildren very much.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a daughter Sylvia Warren Perez; a daughter in law Debra J. Perez; a sister Nico Trevino and a brother Jorge Ruiz.
She is survived by her spouse Juan R. Perez of Shallowater. Her sons Juan Perez Jr., of Shallowater Richard (Josie) Perez of Lubbock, Rudy (Sarah) Perez of Dallas, Ramond (Angie) Perez of Shallowater and Jerry Perez of Shallowater. Two daughters Elvira (Don Jr.) Buchanan, Michelle Perez both of Shallowater A brother Salvador Garcia. Three sisters Fransisca (Jose) Rodriguez of Oklahoma, Carmen (Serfino) Alonzo of San Benito and Julia Garcia of Mexico. Eleven Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jose Delguidice, Dr. Bartra and Interim Hospice for the special care of Rosa. Also to Pastor Monica Hall for her caring prayers.
