Lubbock

Robert Lee Rivera, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 23, 2025, in his hometown of Lubbock, where he was born on October 27, 1975. Known for his keen intellect and a playful spirit that often led his family to lovingly refer to him as a “know it all,” Robert brought joy and laughter to those around him.

In his lifetime, Robert nurtured a passion for music, expressing himself through the strings of his beloved guitar. He spent countless hours creating melodies and harmonies that resonated with love and warmth. His talents extended beyond music; Robert was also a formidable handyman, known for his fix-it-all prowess, and he embraced the artistry of working in concrete. His skills were matched only by his love for his family, who remember him fondly for the time he dedicated to them.

Robert’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his son, Xavier Baltazar, and his wife Destiny, both of Lubbock. His daughters, Leandra LaBadie, accompanied by her husband Brett, and Iliyana Rivera, are cherished members of his legacy. His mom & dad, Dalia & Roy Rivera of Lubbock; his father Robert Rivera and his eight grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his heart.

Robert is remembered by his siblings, who collectively held a special place in his life: his brothers, Andrew Rivera and Gabriel Rivera, along with his wife Diamond, all reside in Lubbock. His sisters, Monica Rivera and Andrea Rivera from Tulia, Vanessa Guerrero and husband Chris, Danielle Rivera and her husband Moses, Bobbie Jo Rivera, Michaela Rivera, and Zalee Rivera, are left to cherish the many memories and moments they created together.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clemente and Adela Montez, and his paternal grandparents, Joe and Aurora Rivera.
