Ricky Trevino, a beloved son, devoted husband, and cherished father, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2025, in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas. He was born on January 6, 1997, and spent his life touching the hearts of those around him.
Ricky’s journey was one marked by love and dedication to his family. He worked as a painter at Scott Manufacturing for two years, where he not only honed his craft but also built lasting friendships. A proud graduate of Coronado High School, he had an infectious spirit that inspired everyone he met. His ability to fill rooms with warmth and laughter will be sorely missed.
Ricky was a true family man, relishing the simple joys of life, especially BBQs and gathering with loved ones. He is remembered for his kindness, cheerful demeanor, and willingness to lend a hand. His passions included boxing, playing video games, and exploring new dining experiences. Each memory shared with him brings a bittersweet smile, reminding us all of the joy he brought into our lives.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Alexis Hernandez, and their beautiful daughter, Niamani Sky Trevino, who will carry on his spirit and love. Ricky is also survived by his father, Toby Trevino with wife Valarie; his mother, Jessica Barrera and husband Robert Martinez; four brothers, Toby Trevino Jr. and wife Amanda, Zeylium Rodriguez and wife Amber, Jacob Toby Trevino, and George Abel Trevino. His presence is further felt through his two sisters, Anaya Priscilla Trevino and Rebecca Moreno, along with his paternal grandmother, Angie Morales, and maternal grandparents, Ruben Barrera and Peggy Arguelles. A loving uncle, Ricky cherished his five nieces and nephews: Johnathan Trevino, Karson Trevino, Zeyden Ace Rodriguez, Eliahna Trevino, and Alahni Trevino.
Ricky is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mauricio Trevino, and his dear brother, Elijah Ray Trevino. Their love and memories will forever be a part of Ricky's legacy.
Services for Ricky will be 10:00 Friday, September 5, 2025, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral with Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, September 4, 2025, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 10:00 am.
Ricky was more than just a name; he was a heart full of love, laughter, and life. He touched the souls of everyone around him and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
