Richard Gomez

Richard “Rick” Gomez, 61, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Gomez will be 10:00 am Friday, May 4, 2018 at Living Word of Faith Church with Pastor Frank Tello officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  Visitation for Mr. Gomez will be from 1 pm to 6pm with a Celebration of Life being held at 6:30 pm at Living Word of Faith Church.

Rick was born April 26, 1957 in Gonzales to Juan & Eva Gomez.  He graduated from Lubbock High in 1975 and worked in the School of Law Library at Texas Tech as a mail and supplementation services coordinator.  He enjoyed attending church and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two brothers, Juan & Lupe Gomez of Arlington, Tony & Mari Gomez of Lubbock; three sisters, Mary & Frisco Ortiz, Gloria & Ramon Caudillo, Estella & Henry Holland all of Lubbock; a host of nieces and nephews but two who were especially close to him, Peter Garza & Cicilie Ramos.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
