Ramiero Rafael Rodriquez

Ramiero Rafael Rodriguez, a beloved son, brother and friend, passed away on August 7, 2026, leaving a legacy filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Born on January 11, 1993, in Lubbock, Texas, Ramiero’s journey through life was marked by his infectious laugh and kindness to everyone. Known to numerous friends who were close to him, Ramiero was also lovingly referred to as Bombay and Rammy.

Ramiero grew up in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Monterey High School in May 2011. He also attended Texas Tech University. As a 12-year employee of Chimys, he worked his way up to Bar Manager and also worked at Crickets Draft House & Grill. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his friends and spending time with his roommate and best friend of 12 years, Dylan Salazar. A devoted uncle, he loved to spend time with his nephews and nieces. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ismael Mermea, and his paternal grandparents, Luis and Julia Rodriguez.

He is survived by his father, Rafael Rodriguez of Lubbock, his mother Linda Mermea of Lubbock; a brother Mike Jerome Minitt, sisters Sophia Isabel Rodriguez of Lubbock, and Priscilla Ballesteros of Lubbock; his maternal grandmother Cleothilde Mermea, and multiple cousins, nephews and nieces.

Viewing and visitation for Ramiero will be held on Wednesday, August 19th from 11am to 7pm at Broadway Funeral Directors, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7pm the same evening.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Thursday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Martin Pina officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
