LV Boyd, age 86, was born on April 1, 1931 to the parentage of the late Jackson and Sarah Jane (Wade) Boyd of Red River County Texas. LV was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Lubbock and he died as he lived - quietly, in his home in Lubbock Texas, Sunday August 20th of 2017.
LV was a quiet man who kept to himself, however who never hesitated to take care of siblings, nieces and nephews as needed.
Besides his parents; those of his siblings who will be greeting him in Heaven: Joe Arthur Boyd; Johnnie Mae Boyd Baty, Codellar Nelson, Nora Little Hibbler, Oneta Baker, Ina Mae Boyd Humphrey, Auto Boyd, Amos Boyd, and Ruby Jewel Boyd.
He leaves to cherish his memories are siblings; Ruby Pearl Boyd-Turner of Lubbock, Roscoe Boyd of Lubbock and Willie (Dorothy) Boyd of Boswell, Oklahoma. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Viewing and vistitation with be held Friday, August 25, 2017 in Broadway Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 2:00pm in Martin Shiloh Cemetery in English, Texas.
