Leon Davis

Leon Davis, 84, of Lubbock, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2017.  Visitation will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Broadway Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Alan Ehlo officiating. Leon was born August 6, 1933, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Leonard and Kathryn Davis. Leon enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on March 2, 1961, he later married Deelia Traywick on July 27, 1971. Before passing Leon had a passion for hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by a son Perry Davis; Daughter Bonnie Davis Couto; Brother Raymond Davis, James “Button” Davis and Donald Davis. Those left to honor his memory are sons Stacey (Jan) Davis of Lubbock, Leon (Cammy) Davis Jr. of Royse City; Daughter Diane Davis Corley (Charles); Brother Mike Davis of Augusta, Georgia; Sister Patricia Daniels of North Augusta, South Carolina; Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren.
