Kevin Tripp Ashley, born on March 2, 1987, in Lubbock, Texas, left a profound impact on the lives he touched before his untimely passing on June 2, 2025. A dedicated professional, Tripp spent five years as a land surveyor, but his true passion lay in the realm of automotive repair. For more than two decades, he excelled as an I-car Gold Certified Body Man, sharing his expertise with the team at Crash Champions in Lubbock until the very end of his life.
Education was an important cornerstone in Tripp's life. He proudly graduated from Martin High School in 2005, where he was honored with the Outstanding Art Student Award, setting the stage for the creative spirit that would forever inspire those around him. His artistic flair was evident not only in the projects he completed but also in the way he approached life with joy and exuberance.
Those who knew Tripp would describe him as a person of kindness and generosity. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was teaching children the ins and outs of motocross or simply sharing a good laugh. Tripp had a remarkable ability to make anyone feel at ease; he never met a stranger and loved engaging with people from all walks of life. His sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his infectious laughter brought a lightness to even the heaviest of hearts.
Throughout his life, Tripp was not just a skilled professional but also a talented athlete. He proudly held the title of Grand National Champion in motocross racing for five consecutive years. This accomplishment reflected not only his dedication to his sport but also his love for adventure and challenges.
In addition to his achievements, Tripp had a rich tapestry of interests. He found joy in inline skating on verticals, playing baseball, drawing, and enjoying disc golf. These hobbies enriched his life and allowed him to connect with others who shared his passions.
Tripp's family remains deeply saddened by the loss of such a bright light.
