Joshua Lee Anderson, born on March 8, 1983, in Lubbock, passed away on April 20, 2026, in the very city where his journey began. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as he left a lasting impression through his passions, warmth, and unwavering love for family.
Joshua’s life was marked by simple yet profound joys. He found solace and excitement in the great outdoors, cherishing time spent fishing and hunting. His adventurous spirit was balanced by moments of intense entertainment, as he was an avid watcher of Horror and Slasher movies, finding a unique thrill in the genre’s dark storytelling. Sundays were often animated by his dedication to the San Francisco 49ers, whose games he never missed. Beyond these interests, he was a devoted gamer and, above all, treasured the moments shared with his family and friends, who provided the foundation and happiness throughout his life.
He is lovingly survived by his father, Lee L. Anderson; his two sons, Kaleb Garza and Erik Anderson; and his two daughters, Kayla Anderson and Alyssa Anderson, each carrying forward a piece of his spirit. His brothers, Mathew Anderson and Eddie Stander, and his sisters, Cristy Anderson, Ginava Stander, and Amanda Iseli, remain close to his heart, bound by the cherished memories they created together. Additionally, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Joshua was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Simpson, whose memory he held dear every day. Also gone before him are his maternal grandparents, W.D. and Peggy Simpson, along with his paternal grandmother, Tawannah Anderson. Their influence, love, and legacy shaped who he was.
Joshua Lee Anderson’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and loyalty. Though he has left us too soon, his spirit will continue to live on in the stories, the traditions, and the hearts of those who loved him. His journey reminds us all of the beauty of simple pleasures and the importance of family bonds. May his memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who knew him.
