Jonathan Mayorga

Jonathan Mayorga, 23 passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at University Medical Center.  Services for Mr. Mayorga will be 10:00 Monday, March 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father John McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Broadway Funeral Directors.

Jonathan was born December 22, 1992 in Lubbock to Eduardo & Helen Mayorga.  He graduated Lubbock High in 2011 and attended South Plains College in pursuit of being an R.N.  He worked part time at J.C. Penney and loved all sports with a focus on basketball as he enjoyed watching the Chicago Bulls.  His passion for Nike landed him a job at the Nike store for only a brief period before getting sick.  He was an amazing friend, brother, and son who loved to smile and make people laugh.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Mayorga of Lubbock; his father, Eduardo Mayorga of Lubbock; his grilfriend, Margie Gonzales of Lubbock; one brother, Ryan Mayorga of Lubbock; one sister, Briana Mayorga of Lubbock; grandmothers, Eva Ramos of Lubbock, Bernarda Mayorga of Lorenzo.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Adrian Mayorga; his grandfathers, Joe Ramos Sr., Pedro Mayorga.
