Lubbock

Ismael "Mito" Tommy Saenz, a beloved son, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on September 29, 2023, in his hometown of Lubbock. He was born on August 23, 1982, in Lubbock to Ismael & Esperanza Saenz.

Mito had a passion for art that began at a young age. He honed his artistic skills over the years and became an experienced tattoo artist. His talent and creativity knew no bounds as he brought countless designs to life on the skin of his clients. Through his artistry, he left a lasting mark not only on their bodies but also in their hearts.

Apart from his work as a tattoo artist, Mito had various other interests. He found solace in drawing and was known for his intricate sketches that captured the essence of the world around him. Being a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys brought excitement into Mito's life during football seasons. Watching each match with eagerness, he found joy in cheering on his favorite team.

Above all, Mito's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He cherished every moment shared with his sons Tommy Saenz, Moses Saenz, Zarek Saenz, and his daughter Jocelynn Benavidez. Their presence lit up his days and brought immeasurable joy to his heart. As a father, Mito instilled in them values of love, loyalty, and creativity. Mito will also be remembered as a doting grandfather who adored his granddaughter, Demrye Dior Saenz. Her laughter and innocence brought endless happiness to his heart, and he cherished every moment spent playing, telling stories, and sharing his wisdom with them.

Mito's role as a sibling extended beyond being just a brother; he was a pillar of support for all his siblings which include, Jonathan Saenz, Joann Saenz and Maria Zambrano. Together they navigated life's ups and downs with unwavering support for each other.

Sadly enough, Mito is preceded in death by his mother Esperanza Saenz who held a very special place in heart.
