As a young man, Harold was proud to work as a cowboy on a ranch in Idaho, where he developed a profound love for cattle and cutting horses. His enduring passion for outdoor life and the joys of working with animals remained a significant part of his identity. Later, he transitioned into the oilfields, contributing many years of dedicated labor to this challenging industry.
Harold’s interests extended beyond his work. He found happiness in watching University of Texas girls’ softball games, and he enjoyed cheering on the Texas Rangers during baseball season. But nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, reveling in their company and sharing his love for the outdoors.
Harold is survived by his son, Harold Wayne Rodgers Jr. and wife Margie; his son Franklin Rodgers and wife Christina; his daughter Patricia Berg and husband Richard; his daughter Terri Rickman and husband Kristopher; and his daughter Wendy Jones and husband Richard. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Rogers. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Rogers and Juanita Haddock, and his siblings, Glenn Rogers, David Rogers, Boyd Rogers, Ruth Fain, and Rebecca Ballard.
Harold W. Rodgers will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, filled with compassion and strength, will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward
