Guadalupe Sanchez

Guadalupe (Urbina) Sanchez went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday September 9^th, 2022. She was born in La Feria, Texas on March 27^th of 1932 to her late parents Alfredo and Luz Gonzales. Guadalupe married Sinforoso Sanchez January of 1957 in Lubbock. They were united in marriage on earth for 58 years and now have been reunited together in heaven. Guadalupe enjoyed many things throughout her life. She was dedicated and strong in her faith, loved flowers and gardening, joking around with her family, enjoyed watching her favorite shows, and spoiling her fur grandbaby Snoopy “Tito.” She was loved and adored by many, whether they knew her for years or just briefly. Her spirit will live on in each of us for eternity.

She is survived by her children; Elizabeth (Manuel) Cardenas of Austin, Texas, daughter-in-law Yolanda Sanchez of Lubbock, Daniel Sanchez of Lubbock, Sinforoso Sanchez Jr of Aurora, Colorado, Sandra Sanchez (Frank Reyes) of Lubbock, Nancy (John) Lucero of Lubbock, and Juanita Sanchez (Jacob Reyna) of Lubbock. Her surviving siblings are Elena (Manuel) Ledesma, Elvira (Charles) Meritt, Alfredo Gonzales Jr., Alberto Gonzales, Roberto Gonzales, and Abel Gonzales. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

 Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband Sinforoso Sanchez, her son Jose Sanchez, parents Alfredo and Luz Gonzales and her brothers Antonio and Alfonso Gonzales.

Services for Mrs. Sanchez will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 15, 2022, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Brother Frank Saldana officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.  A prayer service will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 11:00 am.
