Gabriel "G Money" Arredondo

Gabriel "G Money" Arredondo, a cherished son, devoted friend, and community member, was born on July 26, 1970, in Lubbock, Texas. His journey through life came to a close on January 6, 2026, in the same beloved city he called home. Gabriel's kind spirit, infectious smile, and warmth will be missed deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gabriel completed his education at Estacado High School, graduating in 1988. Following high school, he answered the call of duty by serving in the United States Navy, a decision that showcased his commitment to serving others and his country. 

A true lover of life, Gabriel's passions were reflected in all he did. His heart belonged to baseball, and he proudly played for many years with the local team, Del Barrio. The joy he experienced on the field was only matched by the love he had for his family and friends. Gabriel treasured the moments spent with his loved ones, especially his mother. It was in their time together that his spirit shone brightest, revealing a son whose love knew no bounds.

Though Gabriel faced the hardships of life, including the loss of his parents, Pete and Janie Arredondo, he continuously embodied resilience and strength. The memories shared with them shaped the compassionate person he became, and their legacy lives on through him.

As we gather to honor Gabriel "G Money" Arredondo, we remember the laughter, the love, and the incredible moments he shared with everyone around him. His spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those he touched, reminding us to cherish every moment and hold our loved ones close. Gabriel's presence may no longer grace this earth, but the impact he made will remain indelible, etched in the memories of all who knew him.

A memorial mass for Mr. Arredondo will be held at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Morin officiating.
