Erica Ann Rodriguez, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on April 19, 1989, in Tahoka, Texas, Erica's journey through life was marked by her vibrant spirit and an insatiable zest for life.
Erica dedicated many years of her life to serving the community as a store manager for Dollar General, demonstrating her remarkable work ethic and commitment to excellence. A proud graduate of Abernathy High School in 2007, she furthered her education by earning a bachelor's degree in Human Sciences from Texas Tech in 2019. Her path was not only defined by her career but also hinged on the love and joy she brought to the lives of those around her.
A lover of many things, Erica's heart was particularly drawn to the warmth of family. She was a nurturing presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews, creating moments that will be treasured forever. Whether she was cooking her famous tamales or hosting gatherings filled with laughter and joy, Erica knew how to cultivate happiness and make every moment memorable.
Her interests extended beyond family, encompassing a passion for swimming, drawing, and late drives around town. Always the life of the party, Erica's infectious laughter and radiant smile could light up any room. She possessed a playful spirit, evident in her love for doing her hair and make-up, reflecting her joyful nature and her deep appreciation for life's little pleasures.
Erica leaves behind her loving parents, Jose and Debbie Santellano; three brothers, Leobardo Santellano, Arnold and Elizabeth Santellano, Ray and Stella Rodriguez, all of Abernathy; three sisters: Jessica Cabrera with husband Wendy of Shallowater, Ana Maria Santellano of Abernathy, Claudia Marchan with husband Jorge of Lubbock. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Connie Ann Perez with husband Pete Robles of Houston, and a host of adoring nieces and nephews who will carry her spirit forward.
In her passing, she is reunited with her paternal grandparents, Atenacio Santellano and Ana Maria Morales; her maternal grandfather, Jose Perez; and her beloved American Bullys, "Tank" and "Mamas."
Viewing and visitation for Erica will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors, with a rosary being held at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass in her honor will be at 10:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. All arrangements were made under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.
