Eddie Charles Garner, 73, was born in Floydada to Austin & Mary Levina Garner. He married Nelda Funk on December 31, 1967, in Lubbock. Eddie owned and operated Garner trucking for over forty years and later worked for the City of Lubbock until his retirement. As a young man he often cowboyed on Dixie Ranch and was known as a jack of all trades for everyone as he enjoyed working on different things. He was a great storyteller, loved reminiscing about the old days and always made sure to keep in touch with good friends. His legacy will truly live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him dearly.
