Cipriano Salas

Cipriano “Cipi” Salas, 53 passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 in Lubbock.  Services for Mr. Salas will be 11:30 am Thursday, February 7, 2019 in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with Brother Refugio Almager officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors.

Cipi was born June 15, 1965 in Mathis to Rosendo and Santos Salas.  He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1985 and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.  He married Joelle Lutz on July 21, 2012 in Lubbock and enjoyed fishing, playing softball, volleyball, and had a great sense of humor.  He loved playing pool (although he cheated) and spending time with his family, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Joelle Salas of Lubbock; five brothers, Rosendo Salas Jr and wife Lola, Eulogio Salas of Amherst , Daniel Salas and wife Rosa of Idalou, Jose Mario Salas and wife Elena of Lubbock, Esmeregildo Salas of Lubbock; two sisters, Gloria Camargo of Lubbock, Maria Elena Salas and husband Walter Washington of Lubbock, his best friend, Hugh Cash and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Salas, one brother, Ricardo Salas and one niece , Jennifer Iris Salas.
