Bonnie went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born on November 27, 1927 in Sherman to the late Amas and Dessie Whitker. Bonnie was a true servant of the Lord, not only did she love to attend church and pray. She was a very giving person, especially to those in need. She was a firm believer in the saying “You will be blessed in Heaven, by which you have blessed others with.” Bonnie also spent much of her past time shopping at the flea market and Goodwill stores. Her greatest joy in life however was taking care of and spending time with her family, she prayed often that her family would be prepared for her passing. “Don’t be afraid, just be ready.” Bonnie’s beloved soul will be truly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Amas and Dessie Whitker and by her son Gordon Climer.

Survivors include her three sons, Hershel Lee Cook Jr. of Lubbock, Gary Climer of Lubbock and Jimmy Climer of Houston; daughters Candy Cook of Jasper and Shawnda Climer of Lubbock; an uncle Carl and wife Geneva Threet of Lubbock; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
