Benito C Trevino, a farmer in the agriculture industry, was called to his eternal home on June 9, 2023. He had a personality that made him highly approachable as he enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends.
Benito was born on February 28th,1936, in Floresville, Texas. He married Teresa Hernandez on August 12, 1958, in Floresville and enjoyed collecting coins and raised chickens in his spare time.
He accomplished many feats throughout his lifetime but one of his proudest moments was becoming a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Benito took immense pride in being a member of such an organization that is committed to charity, unity, fraternity & patriotism - Principles he firmly believed in.
Benito is survived by his sons and their wives, Leonard & Olga Trevino, Rey & Norma Trevino all of Lubbock; four brothers, Eligio Trevino of Midland, Alfredo Trevino of Floresville, Alvaro Trevino of San Antonio, Mingo Trevino of Lubbock, one sister, Elvira Jimenez of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Christopher Trevino, Aaron Trevino and John Michael Trevino; one great-grandson; Elijah Trevino. Although not present physically, Teresa Trevino (wife) will always have a special place within our hearts as she was called home on December 25, 2022.
In all, Benito lived experiencing the wonders of life filled with happiness and adventures for which he was very grateful. His remarkable journey on this earth ended leaving behind all those who admired him for strength, resilience & dignity in which he lived within every day.
Services for Benito C. Trevino will be 10:00 am Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Lorenzo's Catholic Church with Deacon Ruben Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held 6:00 pm Sunday, June 11, 2023 at St. Lorenzo's Catholic Church with visitation starting at 10:00 am at Broadway Funeral Directors.
