Lubbock

Annalea G. Montiel, a beloved homemaker and cherished family member, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 40. Born on April 26, 1985, Annalea was a vibrant spirit who devoted her life to nurturing her family and cultivating her passions.

A loving wife, she is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Martinez, who adored her deeply. Annalea's warmth and kindness extended to her four sons, Xavier Montiel Flores (and his wife Josephina), Alexander Montiel Flores, Erasmo Montiel Flores, and Joe Angel Lopez Jr., all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Her daughters, Xandria Montiel Lopez and Anya Garcia, shared a special bond with their mother, who guided them with love and wisdom. Annalea took immense joy in being a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren, with whom she created countless treasured memories.

Annalea was born and raised in Lubbock, where she flourished alongside her close-knit family. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Manuela Montiel; her brothers, Mike Montiel, Frank Montiel, David Montiel, and Angel Simon Montiel; as well as her sister, Leticia Montiel from Lubbock.

Throughout her life, Annalea demonstrated a passion for cooking, passing down her culinary skills to her daughters and crafting delicious meals that brought loved ones together. She particularly enjoyed making tortillas, a skill she cherished sharing with her family.

Annalea found happiness in simple pleasures: listening to her favorite country music, especially the soulful tunes of Kane Brown, and indulging in shopping excursions. Her love extended beyond her family, as she also delighted in the company of her four dogs, Azul, Brightness, Zues, and Zila, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Annalea's departure leaves a profound void on the lives of those who knew her. She was a beacon of love, laughter, and resilience. Though Annalea G. Montiel may no longer walk among us, her spirit, memories, and legacy of love will endure through her family and friends, forever etched in their hearts.
