Angelica was a bright light whose warmth, laughter, and unmistakable spirit touched all those around her in ways both profound and unforgettable.

With heavy hearts and the deepest sense of loss, we remember and honor the life of Angelica Monique Estrada, who passed away much too soon on July 13, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Lubbock, Texas. Born on April 16, 1993, to Esteban & Nellie Estrada in Lubbock, Angelica was a bright light whose warmth, laughter, and unmistakable spirit touched all those around her in ways both profound and unforgettable.

Angelica’s roots ran deep in Lubbock, a city where she spent her years building memories and relationships that became the pillars of her life. She graduated from Lubbock Highschool in 2012, a proud moment that marked the start of many new adventures. True to her determined and hardworking character, Angelica carved out her own path and took pride in every role she accepted, knowing that her contributions made a difference in her community.

To know Angelica was to know someone with a vibrant personality and singular style—her free spirit shined through in the clothes she wore, and her joy was often evidenced by a pair of especially flashy shoes. She was a true lover of good music and loved nothing more than cruising in her car with friends, letting melodies and laughter fill the air. Her love for friendships was made more evident in her love for hosting and decorating parties; her creative spirit helped in creating beautiful balloon arches and decorations that livened and adorned any party.

Some of her fondest recent memories included meeting the singer Luis Alfonso Palacios (known as Louie the singer) on the Fourth of July, an encounter she treasured and shared with affection.

The legacy Angelica leaves behind is one of fearless love, memorable laughter, and a radiant zest for life.

More than anything, Angelica loved her family fiercely. She was a devoted daughter to Esteban and Nellie Estrada, a cherished sister to Adriana Estrada (Michael Alvarez) and Andrea Estrada. A loving mother to her son, Joziah Galvan, and a nurtured granddaughter to Eloisa Alonzo. Angelica’s compassion and warmth extended to being a good aunt to her seven nieces and nephews.

Angelica’s family remembers, with gentle sorrow and gratitude, those who have gone before her: her paternal grandparents, Jose Angel & Jesusa Estrada; her maternal grandfather, Frank Alonzo. Their memories surrounded her throughout her journey, a source of guidance and enduring love.

Though her time with us was far too brief, the legacy Angelica leaves behind is one of fearless love, memorable laughter, and a radiant zest for life. Her presence imprinted upon family and friends a tapestry of shared moments—each one a reminder to dance, be kind, and treasure the bonds we hold dear.

Services for Angelica will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Brian Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Funeral Directors. A rosary will be held, 7:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2026, in The Chapel of Broadway Funeral Directors with visitation starting at 11:00 am.
