Alvin Scoggin Jr

Alvin Donald Scoggin Jr. was born October 3, 1952 in Wichita, KS to Alvin & Billie Scoggin Sr. After graduating High School, Alvin went on to Join the United States Navy where he served honorably for over twenty years before retiring in 1993. After leaving the Navy, Alvin worked as an accountant for Gray Booking for over 21 years.  He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Tech Sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Alvin was taken from this life on December 22, 2019 in Lubbock at the age of 67. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Billie Juanelle Scoggin of Lubbock; two brothers, Tracy Scoggin of Dallas, Wesley Scoggin of Lubbock; two sisters, Juanelle Wyley, Jo Lynn Hurt both of Lubbock.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Donald Scoggin Sr.; one brother, Russell Scoggin.

Graveside services for Mr. Scoggin will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in The City of Lubbock Cemetery with Dr. David Belk officiating. Everyone is welcome to be with the family as they gather at Broadway Funeral Directors from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2020 for visitation.
